In 1998, under the leadership of Pierre and alongside his brother Tinus Erasmus, the company reinvented itself from a traditional feed provider into a dynamic distribution enterprise. This was not just a shift in business model but a fundamental change in how the company approached its future. As global markets shifted, they welcomed new partners—like Moosa Joseph and his company, Nu Star lubricants—further embracing change.​

Erasmus Vervoer later ventured into the retail sector, marking its presence as one of the pioneering distributors in Africa, and eventually rebranded to MOOV after 2010.
